JunkJunkys

Where your junk actually goes.

Most haulers won't tell you what happens after the truck pulls away. We follow the same order on every job: donate first, recycle second, landfill last.
HOW WE ROUTE IT

Three stops, always in this order.

When we sort at our facility, items follow one of three routes. Here's what fits each, and what we do with the harder cases.
DONATE
When it's still useful, someone else uses it.
Furniture, appliances and household goods that still work go to local donation partners before anything else is considered.

Doesn't qualify: Visible damage, mold, smoke saturation, bed bugs, safety recalls.

RECYCLE
Materials that can be processed, get processed.
Mattresses, electronics, metal and green waste each have their own stream, routed to certified recyclers under California disposal rules.
DUMP
When nothing else works.
Only what nothing else will take. It's the last option on every load, not the default one, and it's the smallest share of what we haul.

THE HONEST ANSWERS

What people ask about the green stuff.

A running list of questions we actually get. If you have one we haven't answered, give us a call and we'll tell you yes or no.
On its own, no - it's the most abused phrase in this industry. What it means here is a fixed order on every job: donation first, recycling second, landfill last, with named destinations for each material.
It depends entirely on the load. A garage of usable furniture might be mostly donated; a demo cleanout is mostly recycling and debris. We'd rather tell you what happens to your specific load than publish an average that means nothing.
Yes. When items go to one of our 501(c)(3) partners (Goodwill, Father Joe's Villages, Habitat ReStore, Salvation Army), we email you that partner's donation receipt for tax purposes, listing the items and the receiving organization. It comes with the routing summary for your job, so there is nothing to chase up.
They're the hardest common item to dispose of responsibly - bulky, layered, and banned from a lot of facilities. California runs a dedicated recycling program for them, and that's where ours go.
Ask for the data-wipe option when you book and we'll handle it before the machine goes to the recycler.
No. Donation runs, recycling drop-offs and the extra sorting are inside the flat price you're quoted on-site. Doing it properly is our cost, not a line item on yours.
