If you don't see yours, text (858) 399-1540. Real human, replies in under an hour, every day 9am–6pm.
PRICING & QUOTES
We price by volume, how much your stuff fills the truck, or a flat rate for single items. You get one flat, all-in price on-site before we lift a thing: labor, hauling, and disposal included. It's free to find out, with no obligation and no hourly clock running.
Volume is hard to eyeball, and we'd rather quote you correctly in person than guess high on the phone. The good news: it's a free, no-obligation quote. We show up, look at it, and give you a flat price. You say go or you don't. Costs nothing either way.
Yes. No call-out fee, no service charge, no fee for the trip. If you don't like the price, we drive away, no hard feelings.
No. Our quotes are flat and all-inclusive. Stairs, narrow hallways, distance from the curb. All part of the price you agree to up front.
No. Labor, hauling, and disposal are all rolled into your one flat price. The price you see is the price you pay.
A dumpster is a box you fill yourself. We're a two-person crew that does all the lifting, sorts what can be donated or recycled, and hauls everything away the same day. Different service, different price. (And you don't have to lift a thing.)
Yes. Active military, vets, seniors (65+), and first responders save 10%. Just show your ID at pickup.
Yes. Half-truck and bigger loads get our better rate automatically. For recurring commercial pickups, ask us about a custom quote.
Our pricing is pretty tight already, but if your load is unusually clean, light, or right-sized for our route that day, we'll often come in at the lower end. Just ask the crew.
Tips are appreciated but never required, and 100% of any tip goes to the crew. Most folks tip $10–$40 on a typical job. Cash, Venmo, or via the app receipt.
SCHEDULING & BOOKING
Usually, yes. If you book before 10am, same-day pickup is almost always available. After 10am, we'll get you on tomorrow's calendar. The booking flow shows you our next available slot in real time.
Easiest way: book online. Takes about 60 seconds. Or call us at (858) 399-1540. Either way, you'll get a 2-hour arrival window and a text 30 minutes before we show up.
Same- or next-day works most of the time. For Saturdays or weekends near holidays, book 2–3 days ahead. For estate cleanouts or bigger jobs, give us a week.
Yes. We're open 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday, 9am to 6pm. No weekend surcharge.
Not always. If your stuff is on the curb, in the driveway, or in an open garage, you can leave a note with the crew (or text us photos in advance) and we'll handle it. Payment can be done over the phone or via the link we text you.
Of course. Use the link in your confirmation text or email, or just call us. As long as it's at least 2 hours before your window, no charge.
Cancel any time before we're on the way, no charge, no questions. If we're already on the road and you cancel, there's a $25 trip fee to cover the time.
Most jobs take 15–45 minutes once we arrive. Bigger cleanouts can run an hour or two. We tell you what to expect when we quote you.
We text you when we're 30 minutes out. You'll also get a confirmation when we're booked, and one the morning of your pickup.
Yes. Just put their address and phone in the booking. We'll text both of you, and you can pay on their behalf.
WHAT WE TAKE
Almost anything two people can lift: furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, yard waste, construction debris, hot tubs, scrap metal, tires, bagged junk, whole-room cleanouts. If it fits the truck and it isn't hazardous, we'll take it.
Anything hazardous: paint, motor oil, propane tanks, gasoline, chemicals, asbestos, and most pharmaceuticals. Also: medical waste, ammunition, and food waste in large quantities. We'll point you to a place that can take any of these.
Yes. We recycle them properly. Refrigerants get safely captured, the metal gets scrapped, and the rest gets routed to recycling. We'll give you a flat price on-site, depending on size.
Yes, and this is a specialty of ours. We disconnect, dismantle, and haul the whole thing, usually same day. We quote it flat on-site, based on size and access.
Yep. Treadmills, ellipticals, weight benches, Pelotons, home gyms. We disassemble what we have to and haul the rest. We quote it flat on-site.
Yes. TVs (any size, any era, old tube TVs included) and monitors get routed to a certified e-waste recycler. Priced flat per item, depending on size.
Yes. We do post-tree-trimming pickups, sod removal, fence demo, and general yard cleanup. Priced by volume just like everything else.
Yes. Single-item pickups are how we win a lot of customers. We keep a small minimum for the smallest jobs. It covers one small item like a mattress, a TV, or a small chair.
Yes. Storage unit cleanouts are common. Just have the gate code or meet us there with the key. We can have it cleared in an hour or two for most units.
Inside, garage, attic, basement, backyard. Wherever it is, we'll get it. If we can lift it and our truck can reach it, we'll haul it.
AFTER THE JOB
You'll get an immediate text and email confirmation with your window. The morning of your pickup, you'll get a 'we're heading to your area' text. About 30 minutes before we arrive, you'll get an ETA text from your crew. They show up, walk through with you, give you a flat price, and if you say go. They get to work.
Yes. We sweep the area, take what we said we'd take, and leave it cleaner than we found it.
Absolutely. We'd much rather you remember 'oh and that thing in the shed' before we leave than have to come back. Just point. We'll re-quote on the spot.
Easy. We re-quote on the spot. If you change your mind entirely after we arrive, we just leave. No charge unless we've already started loading.
Yes. We do these often, with care and discretion. Our crews are trained to be respectful and non-judgmental. If you'd like, we can also bring extra hands and a second truck for big jobs.
Most of it: thrift partners (Father Joe's, Goodwill, Habitat ReStore), CA Mattress Recycling Council, certified e-waste handlers, scrap yards. Whatever's left is tracked per load. We email you a routing summary 24 hours after the job.
DAMAGE & GUARANTEES
It's rare, but it happens. The crew lead notes it on your invoice and signs it on the spot. The owner follows up within 24 hours with photos, a written description, and a plan to make it right, repair, replace, or credit. Resolution within 14 days is our standard.
Same answer. Document it with photos, let us know within 48 hours, and we work with you in good faith to make it right.
Yes. If we're more than 30 minutes late to your window without notifying you, we take 10% off the job automatically. If you're not happy with the work, tell us. We'll fix it or refund it.
If anything appears on your final invoice that wasn't in the on-site written quote, we refund that overage in full, in writing, within 7 days. No fighting about it. See all five written guarantees at /guarantees.
You can say no. We get back in the truck and leave. Free trip, free quote, no charge, no pressure. We've built the business around the idea that the quote should feel like a conversation, not a sales close.
More than 30 minutes late to your window without notifying you: $25 credit, auto-applied. More than 90 minutes late: $50 credit or free reschedule, your call.
SUSTAINABILITY & WHERE STUFF GOES
As much as possible: donate. Furniture in usable shape goes to local SD County thrift and reuse partners. Metals get scrapped. Mattresses are dismantled and recycled. Electronics go to certified e-waste handlers. The landfill is our last stop, not our first.
We track per-job diversion and report it in the routing summary email we send 24 hours after every job. Our jobs typically run 50–80% diverted depending on what's in the load. We don't publish a single annual percentage because we haven't audited it yet. See our sustainability page for why.
Yes. If you've got a specific local charity (church, shelter, school) and your stuff fits what they need, just let us know and we'll route it there.
When stuff goes to a 501(c)(3) partner, we can email you the partner's donation receipt for tax purposes within a few business days.
Working on it. Our trucks meet CA emissions standards, and our route optimization keeps unnecessary miles down. We're evaluating EV pickup options as the technology matures for our load weights.
NEIGHBORHOOD & ACCESS
Yes. We know the bulk-pickup rules in the coastal HOAs (Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carlsbad), gate access procedures, and quiet hours. We coordinate with your HOA on access and timing.
Sure. We can coordinate with your building manager on elevator booking, loading dock access, and timing. Just give us the contact info when you book.
Mention it in the booking notes and we'll plan for it. Our truck is sized for SD residential streets and most apartment loading docks. For tricky access, we may bring a smaller cart or extra hands.
Yes. Add the gate code in your booking notes, or text it to us the morning of. We've worked virtually every gated community in coastal North County.
Yes. Stairs, narrow hallways, second-floor walk-ups. All included in the flat price. We bring straps, dollies, and drop cloths.
Let us know in your booking notes. We carry a hand truck and can work from a distance. We'll figure it out. We've done it before on Hillcrest alleys, Village cottages, and Oceanside beach streets.
COMMERCIAL & BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
Yes, heavily. HOAs, multi-tenant apartments, commercial complexes. We do recurring pickups, post-tenant cleanouts, common-area clearouts. Invoiced billing and a dedicated account contact.
Yes, weekly, biweekly, monthly. We'll work out a price based on volume and frequency. Most property managers we work with are on a recurring schedule.
Yes. Drywall, lumber, tile, fixtures, demo debris. All in our wheelhouse. If you're a contractor doing repeat business with us, ask about our trade rate.
Yes. Full retail clear-outs, restaurant equipment removal, fixture demos. We can work overnight or off-hours so we don't disrupt your operation.
Yes. Cubicles, desks, chairs, file cabinets, and old IT (with proper data destruction documentation if you need it). We can also coordinate with your shredding vendor.
Yes. Once we've verified your business, we set up invoiced billing with PO support if needed. Email info@junkjunkys.com to get set up.
DONATION & RECEIPTS
Yes and we prioritize it. Furniture, household goods, appliances in working condition go to our named local partners, Goodwill San Diego, Father Joe's Villages, Habitat ReStore, Salvation Army. You'll get a donation receipt emailed within 24 hours.
Furniture in good condition (no visible damage, mold, or smoke saturation), working appliances, clothing, kitchenware, books, sporting equipment, bicycles. Mattresses typically don't qualify at donation centers. They go to the CA mattress recycling program instead.
Visible damage, mold, smoke saturation, pet damage, bed bugs, safety recalls, or anything a donation center can't legally accept.
Yes. When items go to a 501(c)(3) partner, we email you the partner's donation receipt listing the items and the receiving organization. Typically arrives within 24–48 hours of the job.
No. We route to donation or recycling partners. We don't operate a resale business. We don't profit from your donated items beyond the haul fee you already paid.
CREW & INSURANCE
We're an owner-operated local crew that's been doing junk removal in San Diego since 2020. For HOA or property management work that requires specific licensing or insurance documentation, please call us at (858) 399-1540. We'll let you know what we can provide for your situation.
Our crew is small, owner-led, and we work alongside the team on every job. For commercial accounts where formal background-check documentation is required, contact us. We can arrange this for ongoing accounts.
Yes. If you've got someone immunocompromised at home, just note it on your booking or ask the crew on arrival.
Two crew members in JunkJunkys uniforms, driving a clearly-marked truck. The 30-minute ETA text includes the driver's first name so you know who's coming.
We work rain or shine. Junk doesn't care about weather. If we need to push your slot for safety reasons (lightning, etc.), we'll text you and reschedule same-day or next morning.
